This is definitely something I need to just put up on my front page for people to read so they can leave me alone.
People on tumblr particularly need to read the “ad hominem” one, and work out that calling people “sweetheart” or other endearments when arguing with them in an attempt to condescend to them and thereby cast aspersions on their ability to present a good argument, or just to make themselves feel superior when in fact stooping to dumb tactics means they’ve obviously got nothing to back up their own argument.
