but she has to follow them even closer and be brighter and smarter and more on the ball than any dude because they are all just waiting for her to break one of the rules that are skewed towards them anyway

It’s about the fact that no one outside of Texas was even talking about this until the fillibuster thing went viral, and it’s not because nobody cares- because whether or not you reblog something has no bearing on whether or not you care about it, lbr – it’s because there are a million indignities and acts of violence heaped upon women in halls of “justice” every day so it takes something spectacular to even stand out from the general melieu of misogynist crap
