when a PoC makes a white girl joke its usually supposed to be making fun of the privileges white women have and how their activism is shitty and exclusive i.e. “White girl takes a trip to African country to look at the little brown kids and feel good about herself meanwhile she makes fun of black girls and mimics them by trying to twerk”
when a white guy makes a white girl joke it’s usually just misogynist and unoriginal and not even funny i.e. “lol white girls drink Starbucks and listen to Britney Spears and wear uggs”
there that’s the difference between what white girl jokes started out as and what tumblr as turned them into thanks a lot
