I’d like to take this moment to talk about the persecution of black cats especially around Halloween time.
Black cats are least likely to be adopted and in the fall strays and outside pets alike, but especially black cats, are extremely likely to be taken and/or abused or killed especially in celebration of Halloween and Mischief Night.
So please, promote humane treatment and adoption of black cats and remember to keep your animals inside around Halloween time, and maybe give some black cats a new home.
In addition, I’d like to remind people that this heat won’t last, and cats have been known to take cover from the cold in vehicles, so please bang on your hoods before you start a car, because you could save a life.
