even outside of his writing he has made openly sexist comments, acephobic, biphobic [most of his biphobic tweets have been deleted one of which being the infamous “We don’t acknowledge you on television cos you’re having FAR TOO MUCH FUN. You probably don’t even watch cos you’re so BUSY!!” yay bi-erasure!!! so funny!!!] and he is totally unable to take creative criticism
you were actually right about one thing!! i don’t like his writing. he has plot holes [no that’s just called being a lazy writer] galore and he has completely invalidated whole chunks of prior doctor who plot [see the entire recent gallifrey stands plot], things that make watching anything he writes unbearable for me – but that doesn’t make him a bad person, it just makes him a shitty writer
no the reason i really really don’t like his writing is that it is a concentrated expression of the shitty views i mentioned earlier
his female characters and companions are incredibly similar and have lives that revolve around the doctor [also see river song’s entire character and story arc and elizabeth the 1st in the 50th anniversary]
the eleventh doctor said and did some incredibly sexist things

now, on a personal note i am afab, polysexual and asexual
these lines and behaviours and characters that are shown in doctor who and sherlock [i am not even going to begin talking about irene adler falling in love with sherlock even though she is stated to be a lesbian] directly affect me, i face prejudices and comments like that everyday of my life
doctor who used to be my favourite show, i used to look forward to saturday nights so i could watch the latest episode. not anymore. i rarely watch doctor who now and you know what? i think i am allowed to make a post on tumblr dot com about moffat not being a decent person
if this is not a good enough list for you to think ‘hmm damn maybe there are issues with his attitudes and writing’ and ‘hmm maybe people have a right to have negative opinions about people who write things like this into their work’ then i literally have nothing more to say to you
