SIGNAL BOOST THIS

thetalkingpoltergeist:

HEY. THERE’S A HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM AND ISSUE HAPPENING IN MY HOME COUNTRY RIGHT NOW.

THERE IS A REVOLUTION HAPPENING IN UKRAINE, RIGHT NOW, RIGHT THIS MINUTE.

It’s been going on for months, but the build up has been going for YEARS. There are protests, and there are riots.

POLICE ARE RESPONDING VIOLENTLY.

AS OF TODAY, THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS INJURIES, AND THREE CONFIRMED DEAD.

What is this stemming from?

Ukraine as a whole nation is trying to join the EU. It is beneficial for the people. It is beneficial for the country. The catch is that they would have to implement lots of EU laws, standards, currencies, and regimes.

This is predicted to bounce Ukraine up in terms of financial power, add economical power, geographical power (Ukraine has a lot of natural resources) and improve general life for the population.

Why is this being prevented? Short answer? Putin and Russia.

Putin and several other supporters/like minded people want to establish a 2nd Soviet Union. It won’t be called that, but it would be basically a collection/group of ex-soviet like states, that would combine political, trade, and military power.

The key to this success is Ukraine. Due to the reasons mentioned above – Ukraine has a lot of leverage on whether or not this could become the reality.

Why isn’t Ukraine joining the EU happening?

Corrupt and pro-Russian prime ministers is why. Ukrainian officials are scared of Russian, because Russia more or less is threatening a take-over through force.

The nation is also split, in terms of its people. Further West and North/West you have a stronger Ukrainian lineage/descent, and a stronger presence of the Ukrainian language. Due to the geographical location, they’re typically influenced by the EU further West.

The East and Southern Ukraine is more Russian, with Russian becoming a stronger prevalent language, and stronger ties to the ex-Soviet bloc and views on Russia. That was the case, although more of the country is agreeing in throwing off Russian oppression.

BACK TO THE RIOTS.

There had been a past revolution in 2004, called ‘the orange revolution’. This is more or less, is the start up and build up of this conflict. There have been laws since passed that prohibits and bans protesting of all forms. It is illegal to protest and illegal to wear gas-masks and protective gear. It is also illegal to cover the revolution, journalism that mentions it is ENTIRELY banned. This is censorship, and it is wrong.

Despite that, there have been MASSIVE protests, with gatherings up to 200,000 strong in Kiev.

This revolutionary movement is literally more prevalent in the West, and Western cities/provinces.

Revolutionaries are camped out in main squares of cities.

There are three leaders of the movement, nicknamed ‘Euromaiden movement’, and the movement and its leaders are being ignored by the government and officials. One of the leaders is a champion and well known international boxer, and plans to run for the next presidency, his name is Vitali Klitschko, and he is quoted as saying

“the government has betrayed the people”, this is him between protesters and police, trying to stop the tension, he is sprayed by a fire extinguisher.

The prime minister had initially made moves to help Ukraine progress towards the joining of EU, and at a meeting in which paper work would have more or less secured it, back out of it – probably from fear of Russia’s involvement.

ITS PEOPLE ARE IN DANGER. The riots are QUICKLY turning to violence.

Tear gas, MOLOTOVS ARE BEING USED. (link leads to footage of serious rioting, be warned)

THIS IS SERIOUS, AND IT’S HAPPENING NOW.

TWO OF THE EARLIER MENTIONED CASUALTIES ARE FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS FROM RIOT POLICE/POLICE.

The protesters have built catapults to throw debris, and throw rocks back at shield walls of riot squads.

I DON’T KNOW HOW I CAN ADVISE YOU TO HELP, BUT I DO KNOW THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE KNOWN THAT THIS IS HAPPENING. RIGHT. NOW.

If you can contribute to this, and add more insight with information, more articles or links to footage, please do so!

Слава Україні!
