Every episode of Doctor Who ever has been in black and white, except for the Sixth Doctor’s coat, which is so colourful that it echoes back and forth through the show’s timeline, creating the illusion that most of the show has been in colour.

In actual fact, the totality of existence is in black and white. Colin Baker’s coat is the source of all colour.
