ok so where were eren and mikasa at the start of episode 1?
like we see them in an open field, then they go through a wall to get to where they live (which i’m pretty sure is in that town that’s on like a corner outpost thing of the actual wall, because i think the armoured titan has to break through another wall next episode) which is p much all buildings
but later we see several titans at the base of the wall, and when the colossal titan turns up they arrive really quickly, implying that having several titans nearby the wall is not unusual
but the gate eren and mikasa go through to get home doesn’t appear to be particularly secure, and smaller titans would probably find it fairly easy to reach in and grab someone (say, for example, the drunk guard people), so it may not actually be the gate to outside
also since people don’t seem to like the concept of going outside, surely someone would have said something about that
so basically where were eren and mikasa at the start of the episode
