things actually wrong with dashcon that should be criticized:

• lack of organization and professionalism (lack of moderators on panels, staff not knowing their jobs or not being present)
• money issues (not paying guests, the 17k)
• the whole fiasco with night vale
• the deal with steam powered giraffe being advertised despite not being there
• the lies/overexaggeration about expected attendance, and activities
• lack of transparency, responses, explanations from staff
• issues in the organization of the con prior to it with the committees and funding

things that should not be criticized:

• teenage girls
• teenage girls liking things
• people just wanting to go to a con to meet fans of the same stuff they like
• the bdsm panel rumours have pretty much all been debunked it was fine
• the fact that there were panels about fanfiction/pairings/etc have you literally never been to a convention before
• girls
