This is so sad and completely heartbreaking. Her family put her in the casket with her hair cut off and in a suit, and on her online obituary they refered to her by the name that was given to her as a child not by her actual name also they used “he/his” pronouns while refering to her life.. They erased her identity!
🙁 🙁 🙁
The most vulnerable place a person can be hurt isn’t a soft, squishy part of the body.
It’s their identity.
Bones heal, bodily wounds close and seal, pain subsides.
Strike at who they are – consistently, carelessly, and with malice aforethought – and you’re not just wounding the body; you’re wounding the person.
And the worst part about it is that those attacks are self-centered, self-serving attacks to try to carve a person into who the attacker thinks they should be, and trying to kill that part(s) that is(are) not.
Whatever the cause of her physical death, her family murdered her after the fact.
And that’s unforgivable.
This makes me so upset.
