Do not buy betta containers like this!!!!!!!!

My local petsmart was selling these setups as Black Friday specials and let me tell you, those fish were not well. BOTH were lethargic and the veil tail was definitely showing signs of clamping. I wish I had the funds and resources to save these guys 🙁

What’s wrong here?
1. No lid. Betta’s jump, and could potentially jump out of this bowl

2. Half a gallon? No, Betta’s need a minimum of 2.5 gallons to live in, best with 5-10 gallons with a beginner.

3. These plastic plants easily cut and damage their delicate fins! Silk and live plants work best.

4. No heat or filtration! Betta’s live in water warmer than room temperature, and get sick easily when water is too cold. Also the lack of filtration leads to ammonia and waste buildup.

This is ABUSE. If you see betta treatment like this, educate others, and complain to the business until they change their ways.

Pls do not
