Why do refugees expect top quality services for nothing? They never want to go to Uzbekistan, always the western world, where they can scrounge off taxes and overbreed.

antifainternational:

1) Refugees don’t expect “top-quality services for nothing.”  They hope to be treated with the compassion, dignity and respect that should be afforded someone fleeing war, famine, or a similar situation that so endangered their lives they had to leave everything they knew behind.

What kind of selfish, entitled shit would ask a question like that?

2) The country hosting the largest number of refugees in 2013 was Pakistan (1.6 million), followed by Iran (857,000), Lebanon (856,500), Jordan (641,900), and Turkey (609,900).  86% of refugees worldwide are hosted by developing countries.  Developed countries (or, as you put it, “the western world”)  host just 14% of the world’s refugees.  Canada, the UK and the U.S. combined are home to just 1.3% of the world’s refugees; in each of those countries, refugees comprise less than one percent of the total population.  Get your facts straight.

3) Refugees face serious linguistic, social, and culture barriers to employment in their host countries, if they are allowed to work at all.  Yet a Canadian study found refugees 11% more likely to be working than other classes of immigrants.  In the UK, only 12% of refugees are unemployed within two years of their asylum decision.  In the U.S., refugees are as likely to be gainfully-employed as other Americans after their first year. In western countries, refugees are tax contributors, not tax scroungers.

An average refugee family has about four members.  This is a 9% reduction in family size from 2000.  A study in Surrey, Canada found that 47% of refugees are by themselves; fewer than one in five refugees has a family of more than four members

Stop lying about refugees.
