still thinking about the sistine chapel paintings

Tags!!!! so good, but man the sistine chapel got it left right and center, eg there was this other painting of some dude idk but the way the light was on his buttons just absolutely got it, i don't know how to explain it i just see it very occasionally and think YES, idk if all the paintings got it perfect everywhere but damn michelangelo got it more than anything i've ever seen before, it looks 3d kind of and like it's moving even if the picture isn't of something moving, it's just this thing that generally in stuff that has it only has it on like one tiny part, it's like realism but realism in a way hyperrealism and photography don't get, it's like the opposite of the uncanny valley, its like, like it looks like it could move, there's just this thing some paintings have and idk how to describe it but like, they were just, we waited in line for three hours and it was so totally worth it
