im kinda rly feeling parvati/lavender rn so here are some hcs

• doing each other’s makeup, buying different flavors of lipgloss and then taste-testing them,,,, 
• if anyone ever makes even a vaguely rude/ homophobic comment about them, the next morning their deepest darkest secrets are all over the castle
• trelawney’s class was where they had their first kiss. it was fourth year and they were drawing charts of the planets and they leaned over at the same time and it just… happened
• trelawney walks in on them and they pull away, super flustered, but then she mutters something about “venus being particularly strong today” and they grin at each other
• dancing together at the yule ball trust me it #happened
• sleeping in the same bed in the dorms, completely innocently. they hold hands and talk abt space and the war and do each other’s hair. 
• lavender has the bed near the window and they watch the moon and secretly think the other is even more beautiful
• they grow apart during fifth year– they’re still best friends, but what was never really a relationship in the first place becomes a distant memory, and when they come back for sixth year lavender’s head over heels for ron, and parvati quickly learns how to hide her jealousy
• (bc she’s happy for her, she wants lavender to be happy forever, and if ron’s the guy to do it then she supports it– but she’s not entirely unhappy to hold lavender as she cries after they break up)
• parvati’s parents pulling her out of school after dumbledore’s death and that’s when she realizes she needs lavender, simply existing without her best friend (without her something-more-maybe) is agonizing
• staying in parvati’s summer home in mumbai over the holidays between sixth and seventh year, waking up late in each other’s arms, going to the beach and holding hands, staying up to watch the thunderstorms 
• coming back and everything’s changed and they’re in the middle of a war, everyone knows it. lavender still worries about ron but parvati is okay with that because she’s worried about harry too. they sometimes think they might’ve been too hard on hermione. they’re guilty and terrified and they hold onto each other even tighter because of it
• nursing each other back to health after alecto and amycus’ punishments. helping the little girls in the lower years too because they know what that feels like
• it’s the battle of hogwarts and parvati feels it when greyback bites lavender. she stupefies the death eater she was fighting and everyone else in her way until she finds lavender
• lavender makes it. she’s a werewolf but is that really the worst thing they’ve been through? the moon isn’t as beautiful anymore, but that’s okay. they’ve got this indescribable feeling when they’re together, and that’s enough beautiful for a lifetime
