healingsuggestions:

if you sleep on a problem and you still feel terrible, it’s time to tell someone as soon as you can – a friend, a parent, a counsellor, a mentor figure. it means you can’t solve it yourself, and there is no shame in that. it is not a bad thing. and it doesn’t matter if you think it’s small; if it’s enough to cause you some level of distress, it isn’t petty. and most of all, you’re not a burden to the one you tell it to. if they’re someone you trust, they’ll be grateful you trust them and will do a lot of things to help you, if only you just tell them.
