Nobody else seems to. 10 months later, not much has been done and Flint’s permanent water supply is still unknown.
It was the stuff of international headlines just a few months ago – a city of 100,000 people poisoned through the water supply. So where do things stand 10 months later? Lead pipes have not been replaced. And now Flint doesn’t know where its permanent water supply will come from. In the meantime, politicians point fingers. watch the video:
As of April it was 2 years since the switch. Been longer than 10 months. People started reporting increased lead in their children, foul tasting and looking water, e-coli outbreaks, and chemical burns from bathing in the water long before the actual State of Emergency was declared. The State and Federal finally made it’s declarations on the problem in January of this year.
A “First World” country is any country that has a government aligned with the US and UK. So, doesn’t matter how bad things get, the US will always be considered part of the “First World” by any who use the terminology.

Is a country first world if it can’t provide safe water to a city for nearly 2 years? I can’t believe this is still an issue in modern America!
I live super close to Flint and can 100% confirm that practically jack shit is done or even talked about in regards to Flint’s water crisis.
When driving from Wayne State in Detroit back to my apartment there was a sign begging people to donate (ex: pallets of bottled water) to the city. Not sure if it’s still up, but it was there for a good while.
Even people’s dog’s and cat’s have been diagnosed with health issues directly correlated to the poor water quality. It’s so shitty you can’t feed it to your damn dog.
