Honestly I do think that it’d be nice if people didn’t just assume that everybody can just shove something in their vag. I’m saying that not because I’m like super sensitive about that assumption right now as an adult but because when I was a kid at camp and at school I would get penalized for not swimming when I had swim class because I literally could not use a tampon and I did not want to have a conversation with adult men about being unable to fit something in my vagina. and because of that and also FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) I tried to use them a couple of times and like almost passed out from pain. And I just read a couple of stories from others that were strikingly similar and I think that’s disturbing.
What I’m saying is, all the sex ed classes we take and all the tampon packaging has the same message and it’s basically “if it hurts just keep going because you’ll get used to it” and that’s just not true. Like some people are just not cut out for that shit and it’s fine. On that note it’d be cool if it was acknowledged by even a few people that you do not have to have penetrative sex. Like, ever, if you don’t want to
