this is a new level of strawman where they take a completely valid and normal sentiment expressed by the majority of the population and present it, entirely without exaggeration, as though it’s a ridiculous expectation

oh my god this is a fucking really good idea
TIME FOR ME TO ELABORATE lets do this
so here’s why i thought it would be a good idea
1. it fixes* the “Dancestors” problem
only two of the dancestors are really relevant. i love both aranea and meenah but they come with 10 more irrelevant characters. by giving their important contributions to characters we actually know about and care to develop it would help actually flesh out existing characters instead of giving us new ones in act 6. also
scratch tells us there used to be a session where the roles of the trolls are flipped. we dont need to see the characters to understand feferi used to be empress and she could find out about it in the afterlife

*my friend pointed out without aranea there would be no one to heal terezi’s eyes in her arc. i am so mad at myself for overlooking (HA) this but i still like the idea
2. she has a stake in the relevancy/condesce plot
she was given the short end of the stick by hussie. to have her literally steal the ring of life from who it’s intended to be given to (vriska) it would show her forcing herself back in the narrative because hussie literally does not care about her.
also, @fortunatelyunadulterated said it better than i could. she originally is upset about never becoming the empress but copes with it. but finding out she was MEANT to be the empress on a much happier version of alternia, that that was taken away from her and we get the condesce instead, it makes sense for her to want to claim her kingdom again. she also was groomed her entire life to want to fight against the condesce so it would be really interesting to have their final showdown
3. it would flesh out her character a lot more
theres a reason fanon feferi is just kind of a happy fish girl. it’s MENTIONED that her politics arent the best (cough cough libfem feferi) and that she just wants to coddle lowbloods, but putting it up in front of the plot would actually help her character a lot. it would make the plot examine her ideals and why they didn’t work. if she manipulates someone to give her the ring because she’s “meant” to be the empress to lead all the trolls to greatness, if she ultimately fails in her task with the doomed timeline the same way aranea did, it would give a lot more depth to her character. she basically just needs to play the same villain-with-a-goodish-cause role aranea played which already makes a lot of sense for her to do, just hussie gave it to a new troll instead

healing terezis eyesight could totally reasonably be within feferis wheelhouse. she is a witch of life. altho its not immediately clear what a “witch” does i think we can reasonably extrapolate, from how jade handles space, that healing is an ability that feferi could conceivably have. shes not a god tier, of course, but there is at least one god tier feferi in the dreambubbles
additionally i think feferi has a lot of motivation to heal terezi in the first place – all the violence vriska subjugated her friends to was really feferis fault! because the condesce upheld such a violent society and feferi was born to overthrow her as ruler! please terezi feferi knows Whats Best for you and all you violent animals would be so much better off if you left –EV–ERYT)(ING TO )(–ER!!! the well intentioned but ruthlessly ambitious antagonist libfem feferi we deserve
