i liked redwall because literally every book had three separate but interwoven plots going on and they were all like this: 

• the evil rodent people are killing everyone 
• small band of idiots gets lost in the woods 
• meanwhile in redwall it’s time for the 5438528546th annual Great Feast. every dish is described in excruciating detail and it goes on for 80 pages
