looking at internet artists, im reminded why im pissed off at david hockney

Tags''art????? on a computer??????'', ''HOCKNEY DOES GROUNDBREAKING IPAD ART''', ''IMPOSSIBLE'', (i started saving art in 2012 but a lot of the art is from before then), a lot of it is styles directly influenced by internet culture so its still relevant, a whole variety of digital styles!!! movements!!! media!!!! cultures surrounding art!!!!, also every time i mention digital art at art school the FIRST thing they say is oh have you seen david hockneys work, and yes i have i went to an exhibition of his, but guess what??? i have 40000 files saved on my computer!!!! of digital artwork!!!!, but nooo david hockneys famous so he gets the credit like 12-15 years late, david hockney is a perfectly fine artist who has been successful for several decades now and i have nothing against him personally, from a long ass period!!!!, he picks up an ipad and the art world loses its shit, hes not doing ANYTHING original or creative w the medium but bc hes famous the art world acts like he invented it, holy shit, HOWEVER, most of it is digital art but the stuff that isnt, now THAT'S interesting
