theveryworstthing:

feel good doodle month continues on patreon and Rax prompted animals that are not already in AC as villagers (i didn’t know there was a walrus already but i have been informed that he is terrible) so I drew these friends!

i’ve only ever played Pocket Camp before, so lets say the game they’re in has a similar scenario. you get put in charge of a run-down, previously closed, resort outside of town. you solve mysteries about the area and try to draw in customers. a small staff comes with the resort and these are them. at least one of them is a ghost. probably. no one has names yet.

The Seal: posh party planner who will help you arrange events for holidays and animals who book with you. acts very prim and sweet but gets really intense with party games and can take decorations into the danger zone if you don’t watch her. i’m talking flamethrowers and glitter cannons. as the game goes on you can unlock nicer invitations (so more people come), better entertainment, and cool themes.

The Walrus: head chef. very stern about keeping his kitchen in order, but also a gentle poet. if you bring him special ingredients he can make dishes with borderline magical effects or cook up…interesting food experiments. it usually tastes good so it’s fine.

The Tsuchinoko: her family originally owned this resort and everyone thought they were all an elaborate urban legend tbh.  if you ask her, none of the rumors are true. all lies. Everything’s Fine. Everything’s Fiiiiiiine. she handles the finances and rewards you with gifts if you do a good job. you’re technically her business partner but its clear that she thinks she really owns the place.

The Bat: a little odd jobs writer dude. he generally helps out in the evening/night when he’s at his most peppy and energetic. in the daytime he’s a sleepy blob man. his greatest skill is telling campfire stories to the visitors. as the game goes on and he meets more people, he makes up bigger and better stories. you can use his cliffhangers to make customers stay longer or he can spook them away. he’s very good at spooking. especially since quite a few of his stories are about a resort very similar to yours…

The Opossum: the Activities Professional. she’s just supposed to be in charge of the gym, but once in a while she’ll spring a random activity on the guests for funzies and she’ll teach a bunch more activities as time goes on. any jack of all trades knows you have to work out your body, and your mind! one minute its yoga, next its pottery, and then its picking locks. why does she know how to pick locks? don’t worry about it 🙂

The Lizard: she works the gift shop/photo area of the resort and she loves photography. she is very tired and very broke and very stressed and her tail is taped on because retail makes every self-defense mechanism she has activate all at once and it falls off too often. you can help her chill out over time by finding ways to make her job more relaxing and paying her more. a chill lizard means she can take prettier pictures of your events and get you the hookup for secret items.

The Snake: a magician. an enigma. an agent of chaos. the snake is a magician that you can use for events at your resort or send him out into the world to spread your good tidings. there is always a chance that the snake’s magic show can get really surreal and off-putting to his audience though. he is an artist. he never speaks. ycan suggest themes and tell him how much you like the person you’re sending him to and he will take it under consideration, but there is no guarantee he will play by your rules. he could give everyone an impossible, Vegas-style show, or he could just show up in the middle of town and start pulling every rabbit villager that AC has ever had out of his hat until they’re all accounted for and then just leave the confused fray to deal with itself.

you can send the snake to your friend’s accounts and flip a coin to see if he decides to mess with them, trickster god style. they can’t get rid of him for at least an hour after they’ve ‘received’ him.

everybody loves (?) the snake.
