and when i say no one’s talking about it, i mean there’s no like, central thing where people discuss it. it is not present at all in academia (if u can prove me wrong here i would love to hear it). people do talk about this stuff!! the “is fanart art” argument is long tired and dead so many people have talked about it!! i just cant find them, because it’s all personal posts spread across the whole internet
