i think my favorite part about these updates might be the fact that the Striders are openly showing affection to one another
like, both of these boys have spent pretty much their entire lives either downplaying or straight up hiding their emotions, and yet
here they are, not only making physical contact but this is literally the only time Dirk has smiled in canon. even Dave has only been shown smiling a handful of times.
i guess what i’m saying is, i’m really happy these guys got to talk through a lot of their emotional turmoil together, and i am super glad to see them both already doing better.
