Guys. Please. If you are a cosplayer, or know someone who is, or wants to buy a costume or even be a cosplay model. Please, DO NOT SUPPORT SUPERHEROES UNLIMITED. Having ‘worked’ as a cosplay model for them at Katsucon, I don’t even know where to begin on why this is a terrible company. The owner of this business has no idea how to treat cosplay models. He doesn’t respect the cosplay community, and half of the costumes he sells (the zentai suits) as ‘custom costumes’ come from other companies, like zentai-zentai or zentaizone, and are being sold at double the price. or more. Example, a Nightwing zentai suit, which typically goes for $45-50 online, SHU is selling for $120. Models are not paid money. Me and a couple other girls were his models for Katsucon, and we were ‘paid’ buy the owner covering con expenses, which really he only covered the hotel room, and badges for us for the dealers room, where he was selling. He did not compensate us for travel or anything else, as he said he would.

He did not respect us as human beings at the convention. We would stand around at the booth for hours in heels, and were expected to upsell his incredibly expensive items and low quality costumes to get people to purchase something. When I sat down to eat my first meal of the day around 2pm-3pm, he interrupted me in the middle of eating to tell us to go stand outside the booth to try to draw people in.

We had posted some photos of us in company costumes, usually giving credits, and after we quit as models IMMEDIATELY after Katsucon (like Sunday night/Monday morning), and he told us we were not allowed to post photos of his costumes to our pages because he did not want us gaining followers because of his property (which, most of us models had more followers than the company, we brought traffic to SHU). He even threaten to take us to court or send the police after us over the posting of photos. One girl felt so threatened that she got an attorney for fear that he would take legal action.

Guys, I could go on for hours about this terrible company and the horrible experience me and my friends had working for him. I don’t even know what else to mention. theres so so much BS that we endured. So please, share this message, tell your friends. Please avoid Superheroes Unlimited.

The owner of this company PMed me on my cosplay page on FB and ‘kindly’ requested I delete the post and then lied to my face. When I told him no, he continued to lie to me and try to slander this girl, who I have known for over 10 years and is a cinnamon bun too pure for this world. And even when I pointed out that she is not the only one who has spoken to me of these issues, he kept lying to me.

So if only to be rebellious and support my fellow cosplayer (and friend), and all those cosplayers who could become victims to his harassment, I will continue to reblog this post.
