Tony Abbott has decided to try and make a right-wing alliance with four other commonwealth countries to move to dismantle carbon pricing and try to prevent other countries like the US from push for such actions to combat Climate Change at the G20. Tony “no really I swear there’s a budget crisis” Abbott has cited the economy as a reason why further action should not be taken on climate change.

“It’ll destroy jobs… plain and simple. The renewable energy industry – that has nothing but potential for more and more growth – will destroy jobs. I mean, if we were to have those eyesores of wind turbines they would just magically grow up from the ground and magically maintain themselves without the aid of any ongoing employed workers of any sort. There are no jobs in that! Then they’ll create electricity out of wind without burning anything? That’s sorcery and as a man who has escaped from the past that scares me! They’re magic and I will have no such wizardy in my country! And for what? Clean air? Nope. Better stick to a finite resource that I’m going to continue giving billions in subsidies to for the sake of “the economy.”“

After all, if there’s one thing Tony loves it’s  making  sure  jobs  don’t  get  destroyed.
