like. for example. im on the homestuck artists’ discord server. its a nice place, good people and good art and i like the events. im pretty sure the idea of “100+ artists collaborate w one another, critique each others’ work, socialise around art, create art around certain themes” is like… something my teachers might think was something of a big deal? idk. but like, on the internet it’s not a big deal? like im just on this server bc i like art and homestuck. and also projects like zines and animate a grump and tazanimated. and inktober, mermay, all that stuff. also just trends, like when pokemon fusions and variants and crossbreeds were a thing. and they’re cool things!! i love them all!! its weird to me that there is so much going on, so much cool stuff, and it’s not a big deal to us bc it’s what the culture is, but like… the art world WISHES it had this going on. idk.
