my school’s uniform rules (especially regarding skirt length) are so bullshit it’s kind of funny
basically skirts have to be longer than four fingers above the knee OR ELSE because it “makes teachers uncomfortable” but
- teachers have no uniform restrictions whatsoever (the principal, who is the one who is mostly getting mad over the skirt thing, has been known to wear shorter skirts) (also some truly appalling makeup choices) (we aren’t allowed makeup)
- girls also have the option of wearing shorts/pants although very few people do
- i am one of the girls who wears shorts
- said shorts are pretty much always shorter than the minimum skirt length
- i have literally never even once gotten in trouble over this bc technically there is no minimum short length
- basically what i’m getting at is that girls’ skirt lengths are a massive issue but if every girl came to school wearing short shorts it would not technically be against the rules
