rappsrats:

Please help my rat

fefipeixes:

Okay so I’ve seen these done a lot, and I didnt think I’d ever need one but.

I need help.

This is my rat Layla.

I rescued her and my two other ratties after their owner couldn’t keep them any imagemore.
They are my precious babies and I love them to bits.

She’s been there for me so much over the past 8 months or so that I’ve had her, including when I was extremely depressed, she always nuzzles my neck and my face and licks my cheeks when I’m crying, and she’s always there to  make me happy.

She means everything to me and now she’s ill.

Female rats commonly get tumours and cysts around two, and I recently found some on her. I took her to the vets, and they said it would cost around £200 for them to be removed without the cost of aftercare or anything else to do with that.
I’m on an apprenticeship wage, which means I get £3 an hour, which is £112 a week.

I can’t afford to spend £200 on my rat, because I need to pay for therapy and cost of living and things.
My parents have always said that the rats are my decision and they won’t help me at all towards them, so there’s no use on asking them.

I’m not asking for a lot, there’s no donation minimum and she means to much to me. Just signal boost would make me so happy because it would mean she’d be one step closer to getting the help she needs. Without it, I don’t know if she’ll live to see the spring. The only thing I can offer in return is her well being and some handwritten thank you cards, but I promise if there’s anything I can do, let me know and I’ll do my best to make it happen. I’ll even write you study notes if you donate.

She means so much to me and to my other two rats that I’m begging you to please help me save her life. I can’t even describe the way she makes me feel better when I’m feeling hell and the way she makes me laugh and smile no matter what, and the confidence she gives me when we go out together and she snuggles into my coat with just her little face peeking out.

I’m not ready for it to end yet, but if she doesn’t get the surgery, I’ll have to get her euthanized in the next couple of months because her tumours are growing fast.image

Please, help me.

Hi Guys, The Guardian today has published a massively Transphobic article and it cannot be ignored.

TW: Transphobia.

For those who don’t know, The Guardian is one of the more “respectable” newspapers in the UK, however after reading this I am absolutely horrified.

I warn you, I could barely get past the second paragraph.

I suggest as many of you write in and complain as you can, awareness needs to be raised and this woman needs to face the consequences.
