Dear friends, followers, and fandom,

This isn’t something anyone wants to do and I don’t know how to say it or ask for it in any way that is eloquent so I’m just going to say it the best way I know how. I rarely if ever bring my personal problems to tumblr and that I need to now, is indicative of how dire my situation is.

I need blood and I need it fast. I have Severe Iron Deficiency Anemia and my body can no longer make enough healthy red blood cells to keep me alive or hold on to it.

  • my current blood level is at 5 units, when it should be around 12.
  • my hematocrit (blood volume) is in the low 20’s when it should be 40.
  • my ferritin (iron) level is nonexistent, which means my body can barely hold onto the blood I do have.

The doctors have scheduled a blood transfusion of 3-4 units on November 21st. Followed by at least 2 series (6-8) of IV Iron transfusions. This is to keep me alive for now and until I can get a bone marrow transplant in the next year or two.

If you go to any animal shelter in Bastrop and give a food donation, you get a free animal. For every food donation you give, you can get another animal. They are incredibly full right now, and starting next week, they will be starting mass euthanizations.

there’s a “photo” going around of Emma Watson wearing a dress that is see-through at the top, showing her breasts, and because apparently literally nobody has any common sense, most people are assuming that it’s real and are reblogging it.

i get that the way it’s being framed on tumblr is as a woman taking back her right to her body and her sexuality and making a choice after 4chan threatened to release nude photos, but in reality it’s literally the opposite. it’s something some gross sweaty misogynistic asshole made in photoshop with the intent of humiliating and violating her. please don’t reblog it, don’t contribute to it, and if you see people reblogging it, let them know.

“Hi, so I’m not very good at asking for help but this morning my mother set up a gofundme account for Carleigh, which is our dog. My mom and brother both lost their jobs, and finding one myself is proving to be difficult, so right now there really isn’t any money coming in, which sucks because Carleigh is in serious need of seeing a vet. She’s got lumps on her body, she’s having difficulty going to the bathroom to the point where I honestly think she might be in pain from the way she attempts, she’s becoming more and more lethargic, and now her appetite is starting to wane. Her not wanting to eat is a pretty big sign because she’s our little piggy, and has always wanted to eat (after her seizure she quickly back to begging for food). Vet bills are expensive, super expensive, so we’re asking for any help we can get. If you’re unable to donate, please reblog and help spread this around. Any little bit helps.”

My friend really doesn’t want to bother people with this, but since I can’t donate money for her I’ve decided to be the annoying one and ask to a bunch of people to help her and her dog. That’s what she wrote in the original post, if you want to reblog that one or this one, either one is okay. Please please donate if you can and if you don’t, at least please reblog either posts so it can reach other people and maybe someone will help. There’s a very nice and cute dog that needs help, and it would mean the world if anyone could help. It doesn’t matter how much you can donate or how many times you can reblog, anything will do.
