Even though Hange Zoe has been canonically confirmed as gender-ambiguous, the admins of the SNK wikia are STILL insisting they are a female.  The talk page is cluttered with trans* folk who are reasonably pissed the fuck off and they are being silenced by the most absurd of logic ever (ie, ‘she has a female voice! she’s a female in the anime!’) and it’s rampant with cissexism and transphobia hard enough to make you cringe.  I tried typing up a coherent response to all the bullshit here and quit because it stressed me out too much thinking about the shitty cissexist response I was inevitably going to get.

I’ve heard before about the magic of “tumblrbomb” and I was hoping we could send some of our smartest, most passionate advocates to the scene of the crime to firmly (but maturely) let these people know why they’re wrong.  One or two people are easy to dehumanize and silence—but there are strength in numbers, I think!
